Langley Cross

Langley Cross is one of the most elegant surviving medieval wayside crosses in Norfolk.  The parish names of Langley, Chedgrave, Carleton and Thurton are carved on the hexagonal base.  The urgent work to the Cross, especially the broken shaft, the crumbling base and rotten posts was undertaken and completed on 21st September 2017 at a cost of £19,000 and handed over to the land-owner Mr Matthew Hutton and the Norfolk Conservation Officer.
